An entry score configuration defines a complete scoring scheme. It controls the labels and maximum marks for Kickoff, Assignment, Classwork, Project, Test, and Exam, which optional components are used, and the order in which fields appear. Open Entry Score Configurations to create and manage schemes. The school has a School Default configuration. Additional configurations can be assigned to a class level or directly to a class.

How a class gets its scoring scheme

Kralis uses the first configured scope in this order:
  1. The class’s own configuration.
  2. The class level’s configuration.
  3. The school’s default configuration.
The selected configuration is complete; labels, maximum marks, and enabled fields are not inherited individually. If a class has no level, it can still use a class-specific configuration or the school default.

Score limits

Exam marks are out of 100. The available marks before the exam are 100 − exam maximum. Test and enabled optional components each have a maximum that must fit within that pre-exam amount. The sum of the pre-exam scores entered for a learner cannot exceed it either. For example, an exam maximum of 60 leaves 40 marks for the pre-exam scores. Test remains part of the scheme; Kickoff, Assignment, Classwork, and Project can be enabled or disabled.

Changing a configuration

Configurations are shared settings rather than year- or term-specific versions. Editing one also changes the scheme used by existing results that resolve to it. Before editing a configuration in use, review its labels, enabled fields, maximum marks, and ordering against the school’s existing scoresheets and results. If a class needs a different scheme, assign another configuration directly to that class or to its level. See Classes and Sections for how those records relate.
