# School Planner

> Plan recurring class timetables, term teaching guides, and school calendar activity.

Planner organizes academic schedules and teaching plans around the school's existing academic years, terms, classes, sections, subjects, and teacher assignments.

## Planner areas

* [Timetables](/planner/timetables) show recurring weekly lesson and activity times.
* [Schemes of work](/planner/schemes-of-work) organize teaching topics, objectives, and content by week.
* [Calendar](/planner/calendar) brings dated timetable occurrences together with Classroom events and attendance records.

Open **Planner** from the school navigation. The overview and dedicated list pages let you browse records; open a record to review its details, then choose **Edit** when you have permission to change it. Admins, deans, and permitted teachers can create plans. Students can view published plans for their class context but cannot edit them.

Planner uses the school's academic records rather than creating another year or term calendar. For details on publishing, teacher access, printouts, and AI drafting, see the relevant page above.
